When you register and use the Guided e-Learning Community Portal (the “Portal“) and/or when you visit the Guided e-Learning website (the “Website“), we may collect certain personal information from you, for example your name, age, date of birth, nationality, passport or ID number, address, e-mail address and phone number, financial or credit card information, and any other data you enter into the Portal, We may also receive certain personal information from you when you contact us by phone or email.
If your access to the Portal has been recommended or arranged by your school (“your School“), we may receive certain personal information about you from your School to enable us to set up your access to the Portal. Your School may also use the Portal to collect certain information from you.
Some of the information collected or received by us may be sensitive in nature, for example if it relates to your ethnicity, religion, political opinions or health.

3. Your consent
By continuing to use our Website and/or Portal, and/or by providing us with your personal data, including sensitive personal data, you consent to the collection and use of any information you provide in accordance with this privacy policy. You consent to us sharing any information you provide to us with your School (if applicable) and you accept that we will not be responsible for how the School might use that information. Please note that your School (if applicable) and other users may also be able to access the information you make publicly available on the Portal, including any written or audio recordings material submitted by you via the Portal.
If you purchase any products or services requiring interaction with third parties, for example with teachers checking your work, we will share certain personal information about you with such third parties, but only to the extent necessary to enable them to perform their duties.
You also consent to our transferring your information to countries or jurisdictions outside of the United Kingdom, if necessary for the purposes set out in this policy. If we do make such a transfer, we will, if appropriate, put a contract in place to ensure your information is protected.
We may use carefully selected agents to process your information on our behalf, such as software providers to host the Website and/or Portal, analytics and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimisation of the Portal and our Website. Such third parties will only be authorised to use your information to fulfil their contractual obligations to us and will not be permitted to use it for any other purpose. We retain full responsibility for how your personal information may be used by our agents.

We will use your information for the purposes of administering your registration and payment for our services and providing you with the services requested by you. As mentioned above, we will share your personal information with certain third parties mentioned in paragraph 3 above, for the above purposes.
We will only send you information about our other offerings (and the offerings of our commercial partners) if you have consented to this contact. You may withdraw your consent for your personal data to be processed in this way at any time.
The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is consent that is given at the point at which you provide your details to us (as set out in paragraph 3 above). In certain cases we may also rely on it being in our legitimate interests to process your data. These legitimate interests include the provision of educational services through the Portal.
We will keep your personal data for as long as you are signed-up to use and access the Portal. If you fail to access the Portal for a period of 1 year and your subscription or access has expired, we will consider whether it is appropriate to delete your personal information from our records, but we may keep certain information for a longer period of time, if it is necessary for example to show that you have purchased services from us.

We place great importance on the security of your personal information and we always try to take appropriate precautions to protect it.

So, whilst we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information which you disclose to us or your School and you must understand that you do so at your own risk.
Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
6. Your rights
You have a right to access the personal data that we hold about you. You also have a right to request that we rectify any inaccurate personal data that we hold, and, in certain cases, to ask us to erase any of your personal data that we hold. If you are unhappy with the way in which your personal data has been handled you are entitled to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
